Marina del Mar Hotel

Staying at Marina del Mar Hotel was fantastic. The area felt safe, and having a small beach right across from the hotel was the perfect extra. The rooms were spotless and really comfortable, with cold air conditioning. Staff were friendly and accommodating, and the on-site restaurant had plenty of good choices. Breakfast was delicious too. Highly recommend!

This is only for a low-budget stay. The rooms need a lot of repairs, from the front door to the bed. The bed and blankets weren't good, and the shower was horrible: water ran through the whole bathroom and into part of the room. The reception area isn't comfortable, and there are lots of dogs around, and even cats 🐈😺. I hope they improve the facilities in the future.

We stayed three nights and the experience was really poor. The music from next door, or somewhere in the neighborhood, was so loud one night that we couldn't sleep until it stopped at 2 a.m. Breakfast was mostly cold every day, and the service was very slow in general. The staff were friendly but disorganized: we ordered drinks at the pool once and still hadn't received them an hour later. Our sheet had holes and dirt on it, the door didn't work properly, and the TVs were unusable because of a bad internet connection. A lot needs fixing.

I've only eaten at the restaurant, so this review is just about that. The place is spacious and in a great location, the prices are reasonable, and the food was actually pretty good. But they should have done a much better job cleaning, especially with the virus situation. There was just one other group besides us, mostly drinking from what we saw, yet trash was all over the dining area and empty plastic bottles were on the floor. Service could also be quicker. It's not perfect, but I'd probably come back for drinks.
