Cofresi Hills Residence

Having morning coffee on the terrace with the ocean in view was priceless. The apartment was beautiful, and its two spacious bedrooms made for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect, the atmosphere peaceful, and we had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. We’ll definitely return! 🌴☀️

The view really is fantastic, but the beach felt sketchy and had garbage everywhere. At the property, we had no hot water, awful smelling bathrooms, and toilets that wouldn’t flush properly. The large pool wasn’t cleaned during our entire stay, even though we were told it would be done the day after we arrived. We asked for towels and didn’t hear back for two days. And on top of that, the marina power washed its concrete sidewalks at 4 am. This is the view they don’t want you to see.

The location is tucked down a road in Cofresi, just past Ocean World. It’s quiet and private, which felt safe, but it isn’t walkable to downtown Puerto Plata or elsewhere, so you’ll need a taxi or other transportation if you want to explore. We stayed for five days and had a great time. Our room, C4, had an incredible ocean and marina view from the bed, with windows all around. There were both sheer and blackout curtains for privacy. The room was private and quiet, just right for a relaxing getaway. The staff were phenomenal and kept going out of their way to make sure we were taken care of.

We had room A7, and it was huge. The rooms and pool are beautiful, and the staff were great. There’s good food within walking distance, along with attractions like Ocean World. Great for families!
