The Grand Paradise has been closed for years. Xanadu, a new apartment complex, is now on the site, and a couple of the photos actually show Xanadu's entrance rather than the Grand Paradise. Maps currently gives both places the same location, so the Grand Paradise listing should be removed.

The food was great, and the entertainment crew made our stay more fun. Martin, Isaac, and the rest of the team were friendly to my boyfriend, my parents, and me. We had hot water and pressure problems for the first two days, but they were eventually fixed. I'd avoid the super saver rooms if you don't want to climb four flights of stairs and go without a balcony. Otherwise, I'd definitely return.

The beach is right outside, the pools are nice for kids and adults, and the food is awesome. Try the snack bar at Eden's. The cocktails are great too. We had a great 14-day stay and will definitely come back. The entertainment crew was brilliant, especially Isak, who treats everyone so well.

I visited Puerto Plata in 2020, before the pandemic. The staff were fantastic, full of enthusiasm and brought lots of entertainment to the resort. The food had the best variety I've had at a resort, especially the freshly made pasta. The pool area was spacious and lovely, with a built-in bar and volleyball net. Our room was clean and great. I'd recommend it to families or anyone after a good vacation.

We had a great time. The buffet was amazing, and both restaurants had good choices. The staff were very nice, and there were lots of activities, some for a fee. Or you can just relax by the pool or on the beach. I lost my prescription glasses and hope they'll mail them to me!
