The friendly service was a plus, and the place certainly left an impression. The bed felt like sleeping on a giant marshmallow in a wrestling match, and the walls are paper thin. There was plenty of nighttime serenading from other guests, so I didn't need a nature sounds machine. I came expecting city vibes at this motel in the heart of Puerto Plata and got more than I bargained for. A memorable adventure if you don't mind the sleep or the unexpected soundtrack.

We were in an emergency, so this hotel did the job, and it was within walking distance of Caribs tours and Metro bus stations. We paid 1500 RDP, which didn't feel particularly cheap. There are no windows anywhere, and the nighttime noise from nearby rooms, along with the art deco, made it seem like a cabaña turistica. The bed was comfortable, so we got a good night's rest in the end. Bathroom water pressure was low, though soap and shampoo dispensers were available. There was air conditioning.
