The mold was everywhere, in every building, on the beds, pillows, and sheets, and I got sick from it. I was also bitten by bed bugs. Whenever it rained, water poured into the room, not just a little. The toilet pipes smelled putrid, with a constant feces odor that gave me a terrible headache. The hot water didn’t work when I tried to shower, and sometimes there wasn’t running water at all. I lost clothes to mold, and food spoiled and made me sick because the fridges were broken. I asked for a different room, mattress, and fridge, but those requests were ignored. They did give me a “new” mattress, but it had holes where the springs stabbed me at night. The place is extremely run down. With locals drinking, arguing, and playing the same five songs, I couldn’t get any sleep. You could end up crying in the shower just to try to get your sanity back. The locals in munoz have better sleeping conditions.
