For an off-the-beaten-path stay that felt safe and clean, this was a great choice. The family who run this quaint place were friendly and accommodating, and even drove us to the beach and on another errand. Macao beach is beautiful and only a ten-minute walk away. The pool area was nice, with lots of loungers and a separate bar. We spent three nights here after a few at an all-inclusive up the road, and this felt much more authentic. Our room and bathroom were spacious, with a large king bed, fast wifi, and a flat-screen TV connected to Netflix. The small restaurant serves all three meals. Its menu is limited, but the seafood was among the best we've had. We had fish several times and lobster once, and the fish was especially good.

Best hotel near Macao Beach. The gorgeous luxury pool area was a highlight, and Unit B King Suite was vaulted, comfortable, and beautifully furnished. We were glad we found this place and went back to Macao Beach for wine and a Moonlight Dinner. The only downside, as I recall, was the lack of hot water.

The owners were the kindest, sweetest people I've had the pleasure of meeting. The hotel was wonderfully clean, and both the food and drinks were good. If you're visiting Macao beach, I'd strongly recommend staying here.

After traveling around DR for a month, my partner and I booked Punta Cana Macao Guest House through Airbnb and decided to extend our stay. We were at Hotel Millon Macao, but I went to the guest house a day before our reservation because we were looking forward to excursions with Eulises. We dropped off our luggage around 2pm and came back to check in around 4pm. The room turned out to be small and had no ac. I was excited to meet local people and see places with the host, but when we sat down, the mattress sank 5-6 inches. We looked at each other and said, "Back pain". At the same time, loud music started blasting from the liquor store about 150 feet away, whose window faced the building. Avoid the PCM guest house. They took our money, and now we have to spend time on a dispute. We returned to Hotel Million Macao, where Manuel welcomed us like family. It was clean, quiet, and safe. The hotel had large rooms and king size beds, beautiful pools, and felt luxurious, with authentic DR character and great value for the prices. It's a 7-minute walk to the beach.

Great food and service at this awesome place, within walking distance of Macao beach. I'd definitely go back.
