Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana - All Inclusive

The waterpark was a favorite for our 12 year old twins, though they had just as much fun around the rest of the resort. They especially loved the fancy, tasty non-alcoholic drinks the staff made for them. The grounds are lush and beautifully kept, and everyone working there was friendly and seemed happy to help. Food was above average to great for all-inclusive, and I liked that buffet dishes were served from behind glass. Most meals were great, though the chicken fingers disappointed the kids a little. There were so many other options that they didn’t mind much. We didn’t really need Club Access because the resort is already high quality, but after meeting Keiber in the Club Lounge, we’d upgrade again just to see him. He’s a wonderful person and bartender who made the trip special. The pools aren’t heated and can feel chilly at first, so I’d at least heat the club pool. For a place that works for kids and adults, this is it. We just got back from Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana and already miss it.

The beach is gorgeous, with calm turquoise water and plenty of room to lounge, though it had some seaweed. There aren’t as many beach umbrellas as there are pool loungers. The pool itself is huge and never seemed crowded. The kids’ waterpark is large, with slides that adults can enjoy too, and toddlers have a fun area with a food truck for quick bites. There are also daily activities like kids’ movies and magic shows, plus we got a lobster dinner on the lawn one night. Restaurants were the standout for food. The Italian and Asian places served quality meals, and Navigator, the poolside grill, and fresh, well-made pizza at Prontozs were all good for lunch. The buffet was good too, while room service had a limited, just-okay menu. It’s a luxury resort with friendly staff and excellent service, a great location with lots of options.

We had a fantastic time at the water park and loved the spa. The food was awesome, as were the service, pools, and beach. I’d recommend trying Blind Butcher. We just got home from a perfect trip for our 30th anniversary. Our beautiful room had a swim-out pool, and we can’t wait to go back.

Food and service here have set a standard that makes other resorts hard to look at the same way. We love this place so much that we bought a membership on our second visit. Now we’re booked for trip number three in five years, this September. Can’t wait to return!
