Probar Suites Punta Cana

The food was amazing. Such a great experience, I'd stay at the hotel just to come back here.

The location is convenient for downtown Punta Cana, but the setting still feels calm and relaxing. I was also impressed by the beautiful design and the details in the decor and amenities. The modern kitchen has a stove and refrigerator, so Probar Suites could suit a longer stay too. At the restaurant and bar, the atmosphere was pleasant and lively, and both the food and drinks were excellent. Service was impeccable. The waitress and bartender were friendly, attentive, and ready to help, with the bartender especially professional and on top of things. Definitely somewhere I'd return to, and highly recommend.

The breakfast was a letdown: there were 5-6 options, but we could choose only one, and the portions were ridiculously tiny, about the size you'd give an 18-month-old. The food was repetitive too. Vegans and anyone allergic to eggs would definitely go hungry. Finding the place took us about half an hour because there was no "Probar Suite" sign on the street or building. Then we arrived to no Wi-Fi. We needed it urgently for work, complained, and asked for the manager, but at 11 p.m. we were just told to leave if we didn't like it. We never saw the manager. When housekeeping came, they took our towels and didn't bring them back. We didn't need daily cleaning, just fresh towels and toiletries, but there was no shampoo or shower gel either. There was no toilet brush or hairdryer, and plenty of other things were lacking. This was overpriced, nowhere near worth what we paid.

The place had potential, but poor management and disorganization wasted it. Most of the issues we raised could have been fixed within 30 minutes, yet they were ignored. My biggest complaint is how the manager handled things: a good, professional manager would take guests' problems seriously and look for solutions, instead of telling them to find another hotel. Our arrival was already chaotic. It took about half an hour to find the accommodation because there was no "Probar Suite" sign on the street or building. We had no Wi-Fi that evening, urgently needed it for work, and after we complained and asked to speak with the manager, we were told at 11 p.m. to leave if we didn't like it.
