Punta Cana Princess All Inclusive

I'm writing this for my parents since they don't know how to use technology. They had an amazing vacation and have stayed at this resort for a second year, with plans to keep returning. They felt wonderfully looked after each time, especially since my mom has some health issues. The restaurants and à la carte options were top notch. They also wanted to mention the staff: Alexander at the front desk lobby was so helpful, Nelson at the bar was phenomenal, and Mileny and the animation crew were great to watch. It was a perfect getaway for them.

For the price, the resort was decent, though I'd pay more for a better stay if the budget allows. The food was fine but bland and repetitive, around a 3/10. Find the espresso machines early, and walk along the beach to the sister resort for a buffet with more choices. Getting a pool or beach chair was frustrating. People got up around 6 a.m. to claim chairs for the whole day, and there simply weren't enough. Towels were often out too, and we waited as long as an hour for clean ones. On the beach, vendors kept approaching us, including some connected with the resort, which got tiring when we were trying to relax. I stayed five nights with a friend. The alcohol packages were odd: the basic one meant well-grade alcohol, and upgrading helped, but even after several drinks it was surprisingly hard to feel much.

Louis made us feel welcome and safe throughout our stay. I saw him go out of his way for several guests, always smiling and giving the BEST service. We won't forget him. Emilio was a fun, entertaining bartender, and Pensio was great too. The staff are the reason I'd consider coming back. Top notch!

The room layout felt uncomfortable: the bathroom and shower have glass doors that look modern but give very little privacy, even for a couple. My husband also had stomach issues during the stay, so I'd be cautious with food and drinks, especially anything with ice. We spent a week at Punta Cana Princess. The grounds were beautiful and well cared for, and the staff were helpful and friendly, but the food let us down. Buffets across the restaurants, including the sister resort, felt very similar, and it was hard to find meals that were fresh and enjoyable. Meat and fish were especially disappointing, so I mostly ate salads and fruit. The fruit was good and desserts were okay, but food quality overall needs work. We tried the Mexican (Steakhouse), Italian, Mediterranean, and Swiss Fondue à la carte restaurants. Swiss fondue was our best option, though portions were small and sides limited. The others didn't stand out for food quality. The atmosphere and staff were great, but the food and room privacy need improvement. I hope management can use the feedback to improve guests' stays.
