Selectum Hacienda Punta Cana

We had a great 9 days and 8 nights here, and for the nightly price, I felt we got exactly what we paid for. The villas were spacious and clean, the photos matched the property, the vegetation was lovely, and the big pool was clean too. Breakfast was delicious, and the dinner menu changed and was tasty. The beach is along the resort’s walking path, and two guards are on site around the clock. I felt very safe the whole time. Sam, the manager, was wonderful and speaks English. This place is a hidden gem. The one downside was that the hot tub was broken. People who gave it one or two stars may prefer paying two or three times as much at a large chain resort if they’re unhappy with the value here.

The service was incredible, and the food and accommodations were great. It’s a little off the beaten path, but the place is amazing. Staying here felt like having your own private villa, with the sort of attention that makes you feel like a celebrity. If we make it back to the DR, we’d stay here again.

With just 10 rooms, this boutique hotel feels peaceful and private, and you can enjoy the amenities without the bustle of Punta Cana tourism. They were knowledgeable and helpful, and greeted us each day with genuine appreciation. When I asked about driving, Sam took time to suggest routes and point out what to watch for. It’s an upscale hotel designed with care and a personal touch, which may explain the steady flow of European guests. If you’re looking for an all-inclusive, loud, impersonal stay, the big resorts are a better fit. For finer things, this is a lovely choice.

I came on my own and felt extremely safe. The other guests were friendly and respectful, and the huge villa was clean and beautiful. The team’s hospitality was top notch. They brought whatever I needed with a smile, and the fresh food and drinks were great. Sam and Mehmet were wonderful hosts. I miss chatting with Sam, he’s a great guy. Right on Macao Beach but away from the all-you-can-eat-and-drink crowd, it was a lovely place to rest and recharge. I highly recommend it and can’t wait to come back. Thank you for everything!
