Tortuga Bay Puntacana Resort & Club

We stayed three nights and had all our meals at Bamboo, except the first evening, when the hotel arranged a car for us to go to La Yola. Lunch and dinner at Bamboo were delicious, and the service was spot on. Leandro and Manuel took great care of us. Diana welcomed us and made sure everything we needed was sorted. The hotel's attention to detail was lovely. They picked us up at the airport and handled everything, from customs to our luggage.

The villas are beautiful, the grounds even more so, and the beach is breathtaking. There's nothing like swimming in warm, turquoise Caribbean water, then drying off with a cool drink and lunch on a chaise. Tortuga Bay feels like a peaceful, elegant oasis within a larger resort full of restaurants and conveniences. The staff and management are a big part of what makes the place so special. Thomas, the F&B manager, is kind, thoughtful, and incredibly professional. Yoseuris (JoJo) represents DR generosity and positivity, with truly top-notch service. Thank you for a memorable stay.

The beach is poorly monitored, and there was dog pee and poop everywhere. One dog chased my mother, who is terrified of dogs. We called the concierge for help, but nobody came. Back at the hotel, they listened, but did nothing, since the same people and same spotted dog were there again the next day without a leash. The place smelled of pee. We also found dead bees everywhere, which made us question their environmental care. Dominican let us down. It seemed they were afraid to enforce their no-dogs-on-the-beach rules. The water was cloudy too. I don’t recommend it.

A few months ago, I went to a lovely event by the pool at Tortuga Bay Hotel. The setting was stunning and had a refined, exclusive feel. Some of the other invited girls didn’t show up, so it ended up being a gathering just for models. It was still a graceful, memorable experience at one of Punta Cana’s most prestigious locations.
