The food was tasty and plentiful. All the à la carte restaurants were excellent, from the Japanese restaurant show and lobster tails at Mareas to the steaks, French onion soup, and osso buco. The dinner buffet could use more variety from one night to the next, and the food labels could be clearer. Some dishes looked great, but it was hard to tell what they were. We stayed with family over March break and had a great time. The resort is spectacular, from the welcoming staff to a lobby that could rival luxury hotels worldwide. We booked the Unique club and thought the small extra cost was worthwhile. It included private check-in, beach, breakfast and lunch areas, a private pool, and butler service. The pool was far from the beach and main pool, so we only used it once. We got rum and snacks at check-in, a nice touch. Our butler Ronald was excellent. He checked in each morning and throughout the day, and always found restaurant availability for our group of six, even when the resort was full. We could call or message him whenever we needed something, and he delivered. The beach was clean, wide, and long, with an easy walk of almost 30 minutes in either direction. The location is excellent. Rooms were huge and clean, and the AC worked almost too well. One suggestion: add the building numbers to the signs outside, so it’s easier to find the right one. The resort is laid out so well that even with the place fully booked, it never felt crowded. The massive boulevard has a sports bar, casino, club, gym, English pub, and theatre. We kept wondering where everyone was.

The check-in was awful. Only one person helped us, and everyone else gave us information that was wrong or missing. We waited more than an hour and a half for our bags to reach the room, and they never arrived. After a long day of traveling with kids, that wasted a day. Jose, the butler, was no help, and the Unique check-in experience was terrible.

We had four unforgettable days in a Unique Suite. Esterbina gave us a warm welcome at check-in, and Ronald looked after us so well during the stay. Thank you for the high-quality hospitality. We’d love to return.

Best vacation ever. The unique experience was amazing. Marcella at the unique lounge took incredible care of us, and Jose Luis was a wonderful butler. Whenever we needed something, he got it done quickly and efficiently, including all our restaurant reservations. Alejandro, the unique club chef, was incredible, as were the two other chefs, I believe, who were super nice and friendly. Mateo was a great waiter and always looked after us in the morning. All the hostesses were extremely nice too, rotating between restaurants through the day. The unique bar service was amazing, and I’ll never forget it. The hibachi and steakhouse were our favorites. The Mexican was very good too, but the valley 24 hour food was underrated. The American food there was incredible. We’re 100% coming back.

The water park was a hit with the kids, but staff behavior took a lot away from the trip. We tipped generously, yet it seemed tips might be pooled and split, which could leave little incentive for anyone to go the extra mile. I’ve stayed at several resorts and would put this one around 3.5 stars. Our vacation was just okay, and I probably wouldn’t return without kids. The bathroom setup was the strangest part of the room. There was no bathroom door, just an open layout. The toilet had a glass door with a gap, so everyone in the room could smell it, and the shower had a glass door but nowhere to hang clothes or towels. Getting out meant walking into the room naked. I’ve never seen this design at a resort and hope I don’t again. Staff often seemed inattentive or rude. Not a single waiter came by the pool. I slipped on the stairs and hurt my ankle badly enough that I couldn’t walk, but for two days I had to limp to the bar to get a drink. We got back last night.
