The owner was incredibly accommodating when a motorcyclist hit my rental car while it was parked outside the hotel. He helped me deal with the local police and extended our stay so we could be comfortable and handle the stressful situation as smoothly as possible. The staff and owner were a huge help, and anyone traveling to samana will be in good hands here. Our room was clean, there was hot water, and breakfast tasted good. I only wish I'd had more time to explore samana before leaving.

For the price, I wouldn't recommend this place. I stayed two nights, and breakfast was okay, with a few choices. But there was no hot water, and the toilet was laughably small. Sitting on it, I could put my head and arms against the wall in front of me. The online photos make the pool look huge, but it's just a tiny square. The rooms are small too, and so are the bathrooms. I won't be coming back.

Figaro was a great stay in Jan2021. The view is gorgeous, and the staff are really friendly and happy to help. Breakfast was great, and on weekends the team sets up a rooftop BBQ, which makes the place feel even cozier. The room was great, the bathroom clean and functional, and the WiFi worked really well. Definitely recommend.

Our first week at the hotel got off to a rough start, but after a few days the service really helped us settle in. Wanda at reception is welcoming and helpful. If anything comes up, talk to her, she'll do her best to make you feel at home. Joel in the kitchen can help with specific needs too. That personal attention made a huge difference, and meeting them improved our experience. Room service was very clean, and when we had a complaint, people went out of their way to help. I gave the place a bad review at first, but now I feel silly for not giving it a little more time. It really is a warm place.

Hard to sleep here. There's a lot of noise from the road, the disco next door, and other guests in the hallways. The employees are friendly, but that doesn't outweigh the downsides.
