VIVE EL VALLE Hotel

The room was spotless, the AC worked beautifully, and we loved having our own little backyard. The location was great, near a couple of restaurants and just a few minutes’ drive from the beach. Johnathan made the stay special. He was extremely welcoming and went out of his way to make sure we were happy. He offers an affordable breakfast and has drinks, including beer, available to buy anytime. When I wasn’t feeling well, he even got medicine for me from Samana. We loved our stay and plan to come back soon. Looking forward to the pool once it’s finished being built.

The room was spacious, and the AC worked really well on a warm day. The owner lives on the property and is super friendly and willing to help with whatever you need. It’s a great location, really close to playa el valle. You can drive there in four minutes or walk in 20, and it’s safe to walk.

The service was the biggest letdown. We told them we’d be getting to Samana early and asked if they could help, but got no response at all. The pool was broken too, and nobody warned us, which I think really matters in this country. The room itself was comfortable, with almost everything looking new, and the hotel was fine for a night. It’s on the main street and a little far from the beach, though the town is basically one street, so that wasn’t a big issue. Having the place to ourselves after seeing only one room left on the website sounded like a good start. Still, it’s an average hotel, and if you want to feel connected to the area, there are better choices.

Really friendly welcome and service, and the place was clean. The bed was comfortable too. We’ll stay longer on our next trip.
