Centro Plaza Hodelpa

The restaurant was delicious, and the staff kept everything running smoothly. It’s a beautiful hotel near the Monumento, with fantastic views across a thriving city. Dominicans know how service is done.

Even though my booking couldn’t be refunded, the hotel kindly granted my request to cancel for free because of personal circumstances. I really appreciated how understanding and professional they were.

We were four adults sharing a room with two full-size beds. I asked before check-in if they could turn on the AC, and they did, so the room was ice cold when we arrived. Check-in was quick and easy, the front desk person was friendly, and the parking lot attendant carried our luggage to the lobby. The whole hotel was clean and cute, and everyone seemed happy to work there. All the employees were polite and welcoming. Our room had an amazing city view from the balcony. It wasn’t big, but it wasn’t too small either. The bathroom had hot water and good pressure. The beds were the one thing I didn’t like, a little too small for two people, but I loved the big, very soft pillows. There was a minibar fridge with wine, beer, soda, whisky, juice, cookies, nuts, chips, and more. Nothing was free, but the prices weren’t too high, and we were charged at checkout for the items we used. Breakfast was included, with a good selection, and I thought it was delicious. The hotel is close to everything and near the monument, in a safe area, with its own secure parking lot. I was there for the Miriam Cruz concert and would stay again. My experience in Santiago was excellent, and I’d highly recommend Hodelpa.

We arrived without high expectations, but left really pleased. The location is super convenient, and the view is a nice bonus. Our rooms were clean and neat, the service was excellent, and we enjoyed delicious lunch and breakfast at the restaurant. The servers were friendly and professional, too.
