Casas del XVI, Vignette Collection

We stayed four nights at Casas del XVI, and it was a wonderful experience throughout. The team were kind, attentive, and always ready to help. Each morning’s breakfast was generous, delicious, and nicely prepared. Our room was at Casas del Pozo, with direct access to the swimming pool, which was a lovely extra. The inner courtyard was peaceful, intimate, and beautifully designed, just right for relaxing after a day out. The hotel is in a quiet, very safe part of Santo Domingo, within walking distance of the main sights in the Colonial Zone. Elegant, comfortable, and with excellent service, we’d happily recommend it for an authentic, luxurious stay in the city center.

There are plenty of sights, restaurants, and the walking street nearby. The location is excellent, and the room was stunning, with a little pool of its own, a lovely touch. All the amenities and small extras made the stay memorable. The staff were very attentive and answered our questions right away, both before we arrived and during our stay.

The team made our stay memorable, and the food was great. What a lovely find in the middle of the charming Zona Colonial.

The room and staff were nice, and the location was good. There’s parking too. The bed gave me a rash, maybe from the soap or a bug. It’s pricey, and the reservation details are confusing. Check whether your booking includes breakfast or pool access, and which room type you’re getting. You might be assigned any room, not necessarily the one shown in the picture.
