The location is perfect, the website photos match what you get, and I loved my stay. I’d definitely come back. The hotel has lovely decor and a thoughtful layout, and it felt like staying in someone’s beautiful home. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was simple and made to order, with good coffee. My bed was very comfortable, although the bedroom itself was tiny, and the bathroom was great. There was construction on the street out front. It wasn’t noisy at night, but it made getting around and arranging a taxi harder than it should have been. Filtered water available throughout a guest’s stay, nicer hand soap, and body lotion would make the experience even better. Getting around inside may be tough if you have mobility issues: there are about three steep steps to enter, then a staircase upstairs, and the bathtub has very tall sides. They may have other rooms with accessible options, so ask before booking.

The suite upgrade was a nice surprise. The assistant manager was very helpful and pleasant, and the bed was comfortable. I loved the architecture and beautiful tiles. The location is great, within walking distance of the main Ciudad Colonial attractions. Breakfast did start almost 45 minutes late.

The room was spacious and had a lovely balcony, a beautiful bed, and a nice bathtub. When I first arrived, Raymond greeted me in the lobby and showed me around the facilities. The next morning I met Santa, who made a simple but tasty breakfast, including eggs fried in water. Colonial 154 is a nice place for a work trip, vacation, or just a getaway. Thank you, Raymond and Santa. I’ll see you again soon!

We found everything within walking distance, including every Santo Domingo attraction and a grocery store just two blocks away. The place felt very safe, and the staff were friendly. The room had AC, cable TV, and a bathtub, plus there’s a small courtyard pool. We paid extra for breakfast at the hotel, and the toast, eggs, coffee, and juice were just right. Thanks, everyone!

A cozy, cute little hotel in central Santo Domingo, clean and tidy, with really comfortable, high-quality sheets and a nice bed. The staff were friendly and welcomed us warmly. Breakfast was the letdown: just coffee, juice, bread, and egg, with no fruit. On a tropical island I expected at least some fruit, and for the price they could do a bit better. We had to go out to find something else to round out the meal.
