Hotel La Morada

Renter beware. When we arrived, the hotel had given away our reserved room, though they said they had another. We accepted and paid, then discovered after unpacking that the door wouldn't lock. The front desk said nobody could fix it right away and we'd have to wait until later that day. We couldn't wait around, so we asked for our money back, explained we were unhappy and would find another hotel. They refused and kept the payment, making us wait while they checked the room, even though we'd been in it less than 30 minutes, to make sure we hadn't stolen, damaged, or used anything. They expected us to leave our belongings in an unlocked room in a country with a very high crime rate, as locals themselves will confirm, while they waited to call a handyman. No thanks. If you want subpar service, this is the place for you.

It's clean, in a great location, and the price is awesome, with really personal service and a wonderful laugh. I've been here and like what I've seen so far. It's not a five-star hotel, but if you want an easy, hassle-free stay at a great price, this is the place.

I got lucky when a lot of people were being turned away, even though I had a reservation. There were no rooms left at the Weston suits and Casino Hotel, so this worked out fine for me. It's a nice little studio apartment, and I can enjoy myself here with some cash to shop around.

It looks nice, but they weren't very flexible about accommodating guests. At Hostal Primaveral, they're much more flexible and it's easy to feel at home.
