For a tight travel budget, this is a presentable place to stay. Room rates run from 35$ to 70$ depending on size, and there are rooms with two beds for families. It’s a small hotel with no more than 15 rooms; the rooms are quite nice, though not a wow surprise. Service was okay, and most receptionists spoke enough English to communicate with foreigners. They also offer discounts depending on how many days you stay. The location is a block from the well-known El Conde, also called Zona colonial in Spanish or colonial Zone. That historic area has shops, offices, restaurants, and pretty much anything you need nearby. A good fit for a low-budget trip. Enjoy your stay.

I’d recommend this place to family and friends, and would stay again. It’s in the Zona Colonial, near Parque Independencia and Calle Conde, with plenty of shops and restaurants on that street. The hotel is one of the best spots in the area, with modern, clean rooms. Some rooms have a small built-in stove for cooking. The staff were great, and most spoke and understood English.

There are better places in Santo Domingo. The kitchen is poorly equipped and short on dishes, and the place wasn’t the cleanest. I could have put up with that, but there were COCKROACHES in the building.

For a quick city stay, this is an absolute bargain, right in la Zona Colonial.
