Some party kept blasting loud music and shaking my room until after 6 in the morning. Horrible. The room itself was clean enough.

If you just need a cheap place in a pinch, maybe. My room, 405, looked nice at first, but the service and quality were lacking. The staff seemed tired and like they didn’t want to be there. The AC was blasting with no way to turn it down, and there was no blanket or comforter, just thin sheets. I ended up using towels to keep warm. Water seeped through the shower wall, the WiFi didn’t work for me, and there was no phone to call reception. The TV didn’t work either, and there wasn’t a remote. Apparently guests are meant to contact the front desk on WhatsApp, but nobody told me when I checked in. Breakfast was included, but it was just mangu, cereal, juice, and coffee.

Getting around the capital was easy because everything was nearby, and the facilities were a real draw: casino, club, pool, and restaurant. I had a great experience and would recommend the place for its location and amenities. My one issue was the air conditioning. I couldn’t control it, and the room felt quite cold.

This was my second stay, and I’ve been disappointed both times. The AC in my room barely worked. Even with the curtains closed, it wasn’t cool, and the air from the unit felt lukewarm. I also couldn’t get hot water in the shower. If I ran the taps long enough, the sink water got hot, but the shower didn’t. I was stopped from taking photos on the second floor by the pool, above the casino, because they didn’t want photos of anything with the casino. It was 9 a.m., and there was nobody there except people washing the machines. I didn’t understand the issue. I went to look at the open banquet room setup, but staff came up and told me I couldn’t be there, even after I said I was only looking. I’m American and may not understand their customs or rules, but I don’t think they needed to act that way. I was just looking around and trying to take pictures. I can’t recommend this hotel if this is how guests are treated every time.
