My boyfriend and I got to the hotel at 5:00 a.m. after coming from the club, planning to stay one night before leaving for Punta Cana the next day. Later, the receptionist called to ask if we were checking out. We explained several times that we'd arrived that same morning at 5:00 a.m. She said that because we arrived before the official check-in time, around 6:00 a.m., we had to leave at noon or pay for another night. We ended up being charged for two nights even though we only stayed overnight. Nobody told us about this policy during booking, or that waiting just one more hour would have meant paying for only one night.

The staff made the stay feel special. Sandra in housekeeping took wonderful care of me every day, and Pamela at Casa Vera gave me standout service and made me feel at home. As an OTF athlete, I loved that the studio was right across the street. The room stayed perfectly cool, and the shower had great hot water and pressure. Breakfast gave me just the fuel I needed each morning. The Vent upstairs was lively late at night, so I could dance without needing an Uber. Great for work, partying, or relaxing. I'll definitely be back!

The only letdown was the lounge on the 8th floor. It seemed short staffed and mostly focused on large groups, so I had to get up and find someone to serve me. That aside, the hospitality was excellent all around.

We couldn't sleep well because the room was extremely noisy, especially around 4 a.m. We could hear conversations from above, possibly from a staff or crew room. There also seemed to be water leaking from the bathroom ceiling, and we had to use towels to catch it. I don't know how the property keeps a 4-star rating with those room conditions. The staff were courteous and welcoming throughout, and the restaurant had great food and service. Those were real positives, but the noise and leak had a big effect on our stay.

Recently renovated, with clean rooms and friendly staff. It would be a good fit for business trips, and I'd be happy to go back.
