Instyle Residences at Rizz Suites

I was in Sosua and needed somewhere to stay at the last minute. I found this place, and the people made me feel at home. They’re very nice, and the pool is clean and so nice. The rooms are spacious and clean too. The bed is a little hard, but for $75 a night, you can’t beat it. The cigarette smell might bother you, so I recommend bringing perfume. Otherwise, it's 10/10.

We had an excellent BBQ buffet dinner last night, with great live music playing Latin and American favourites. The toilet could use a little attention, though.

I needed a place at the last minute after leaving my sailboat home because a hurricane was coming. I was traveling alone as a woman, and they were able to take me in. The location is incredible, just one block from the beach and one block from the main action in Sosua. There's no shuttle and they don't take credit cards, but Henri and the rest of the staff were so attentive and caring that it more than made up for it. There was lovely Deutsche spoken throughout the restaurant, and the staff knows about three languages, which impressed me. My room was super clean and smelled 1000 times better than living on a sailboat.

Chris and his wife were super hospitable, and all the staff were friendly. The grounds were clean, the pool was great, and the room was big, with a wonderful TV and a very comfortable king size bed. It's easy to walk to town and the beach, in a very quiet neighborhood. The housekeepers do the best laundry around. Nicest hotel I've stayed at in the DR, and I couldn't recommend it more highly.
