The pool was clean and nice during the day, the views were amazing, and the grocery store and two beaches were within walking distance. When something broke, they repaired it quickly. The dryer wasn't working when we arrived, the hot water heater stopped after two weeks, and the microwave door wouldn't close, but each was fixed promptly. The rat problem, though, made our stay miserable. My husband and I were there in June and July 2018, and we didn't sleep well because rats kept getting into the apartment. At first we didn't know they were chewing through the plastic screens, making the holes bigger each night. Then around 8:30 one evening, while we watched a movie, a rat came through the screen door and ran from the living room to the kitchen. We broke a broom trying to kill it. The following day we bought poison, glue traps, and snap traps. The next night, between 8 and 11 pm, we caught three rats on the balcony. We swept one live rat on a glue trap into a laundry hamper and took it to the security guard, who killed it with a machete. After we reported the problem, about ten days passed before we stopped seeing signs of rats, and the chewed screens were replaced. We hope the problem has been fixed so future visitors have a better stay. Still, having to complain, wait for repairs, put out poison each night, and clean up the remains and droppings the next day ruined our vacation. Who wants to spend their holiday doing that?
