We found it hard to leave the Dominican Republic after getting married at a nearby villa, so my husband and I spent three days here. They were among the most relaxing days we've ever had. We spent our time getting massages, taking yoga classes, and reading by the pool and sea. Breakfast in the morning, with the ocean sounds around us, became one of our favorite memories from the whole wedding. The resort is quite secluded, so bear that in mind, though we actually liked that about it.

We had a spiritual retreat here in mid December, and I was struck by how quaint the resort felt, almost like Giligans Island with a little Hobbit influence. The hammocks were wonderful, the place was very cute, and the yoga temple was excellent. It felt like finding a little paradise. The beach was beautiful, with lovely waves that were easy to swim in and walk along. The children there seemed to be enjoying themselves almost as much as I was. The restaurants on site were excellent, with a view of the beach, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The pizzeria inside the same gated community was excellent too. I hope we can hold another seminar there someday. Thanks for such a great experience.

This is honestly the best hotel stay I've had anywhere. I'm pretty particular, and the place felt like something out of a dream. It's designed around health and well being, set in nature, with a real focus on sustainability. Being surrounded by nature does mean the usual downsides, like mosquitos, but that's a small price for a place this enchanting. They take precautions too, with beautiful netting around each bed to keep bugs away while you sleep. The food might be even more impressive. I work in food and beverage, and I can't praise the kitchen staff enough. Thanks to the owners for an amazing experience so far. My spa treatments are in a couple days, and I'll update this review afterward. The beach is the cleanest I've seen in the DR so far, and there's an ideal surfing spot nearby. It's a mecca for anyone wanting to experience the waves. I couldn't recommend it more. A hidden gem.

My mom and I got a lunch pass on January 1st. The beach was almost empty and very calm at first, but after midday it filled up and music was playing. The pass is a great deal, with an appetizer, main dish, and dessert. The place is beautiful, surrounded by nature. I'd like to try the spa and yoga classes next time.

The easygoing, unpretentious feel here is what I liked most. It’s lovely and doesn’t feel overly touristy. One thing to know: the windows have no glass, so music from the bar or nearby beach carries in. Bring earplugs if you turn in early.
