Sosua Sunset Hotel

We've stayed here several times. It's a cute little hotel with a nice pool, friendly staff, and a quiet, secure location. The rooms are older and nothing fancy, but they're always clean and comfortable. There's even a Mango tree 😋.

The pool area was clean, but the rooms really need updating, including some decent curtains. They said someone on a motorcycle could pick up food, but that wasn't working, so I went hungry for the night. There was no breakfast, not even milk for coffee. They should provide bed covers instead of just a sheet. For decoration, they'd put half a shower curtain across the bed. This place could be very nice with management that cares.

The hotel is run down, and the photos showed the poor, dangerous-looking electrical work done to provide air conditioning and hot water. Its saving grace is the beach location across the road. It's secluded enough that I couldn't hear the main road or beach noise.

The service was horrible. The swimming pool was disgusting, and the jacuzzi had dirty rain water. The hard, broken mattress left bruises on my legs. Then, when I walked to the registration/bar, I saw one of the rooms displayed on the security camera screen, as if there were cameras inside each room. I questioned the staff, but they denied any wrongdoing. I highly recommend this hotel be excluded from any advertised vacation package.
