On my second stay, I noticed a lot to like: the quiet diplomatic setting in Hydra / Ben Aknoun, the clean rooms, comfortable beds, and friendly, helpful reception team. I also liked the newer lobby and outdoor terrace, which make for a relaxing atmosphere. The service, though, seemed weaker than on my visit last year. The breakfast buffet had less variety, and service from the waiter was slow. I had to get up several times to ask for drinks or check on orders. The face and bath towels also looked very worn and need replacing. AD Hotel Hydra – Algiers is a beautiful, comfortable hotel. I hope this feedback is taken in the spirit intended, and that future stays here are even better.

It feels like the hotel isn't making the most of its location. The restaurant menu is quite interesting, but the cafeteria choices have been very limited lately, including soft drinks and cocktails. Please improve this.

The restaurant staff are really welcoming, and this is one of my favourite places in Algiers. Their pizza is a must try, it's among the best in the city. They're known for it, and the chef consistently turns out great quality.
