Royal Hotel Oran - MGallery Collection

The location is lovely for walking around, and the hotel itself is beautiful. Still, for the price I expected more. There was a board under my mattress that I could feel, and the towels seemed old and felt scratchy. There was a Nespresso machine in the room, but no coffee, and no other coffee or tea option either. I can’t compare it with other hotels in the city, so perhaps the prices and quality are similar elsewhere. But at the price they charge in the US, I’d have expected a much fancier place with nicer in-room amenities.

The food was good, but there wasn’t much variety, and ordering from outside wasn’t allowed. The rooms were okay, nothing fancy. It’s a nice hotel, though the area around it didn’t feel very safe.

I really enjoyed the quiet atmosphere, which made it easy to unwind after sightseeing. My room was clean, spacious, and well equipped, and the staff were welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful, with fresh, good quality food and a nice variety. The location is convenient for public transport, shops, and the main tourist attractions. I’d highly recommend staying here.

The Royal was spectacular and went beyond what I expected. I’d booked a different five-star place before, but it didn’t come close to the high standard I was looking for.
