Residence Alpha Tighremt

Our kids loved having the pool and beach access, and Alpha Residence in Bjaya has stunning ocean views. The rooms were spotless, smelled pleasantly of soap, and had an amazing view. The helpful staff were generous, too. Breakfast included croissants, cakes, Algerian pastries, milk, and coffee, and dinner had appetizers, an Algerian main course, and dessert. There were a few bees around, and the beach is rocky, but it’s still a fantastic family getaway.

The general manager personally made sure we were happy and well looked after, and the staff were amazing throughout. Our private room had a great view of the seashore, and we were pleased to find that breakfast and dinner were included in the room rate. The food was good, reception and service were excellent, and there was plenty of parking. The grounds were clean, the two pools were amazing, and the location gives you access to the beach. Security was good as well. I highly recommend this hotel when visiting the area.

The location is beautiful, and the rooms are decent, but dealing with the front desk and reservation was a real letdown. I called ten days ahead to book a basic room, then called the day before to confirm. I tried more than three times before anyone answered, and that didn’t seem to resolve anything. When I arrived on the reserved day, the same agent said there were no regular rooms left, even though my booking had been confirmed. I had to insist before they gave me an upgraded room at no extra cost, which was nice. Keep in mind, the hotel is about an hour from the city. There’s no WiFi, the cell service is terrible, and breakfast wasn’t great if you’re health conscious, just sugary pastries and coffee.

The food was really bad, and I even found a hair on my plate. Worst hotel I’ve ever visited. I don’t recommend it 👎
