The room was comfortable even with the forecast calling for 6°C, which felt very cold to me coming from the coast. I also barely noticed any noise from the Pan-American Highway, so getting a good night's sleep wasn't a problem. The hotel, or hostel, sits right on the road in El Quinche, and for the price it seemed like a good place to stay while passing through for work. Everything I needed was there: Wi-Fi, LED cable TV, hot water and a bathroom. There are pharmacies and places to eat nearby, and since it's a small town, everything is close. The young man at reception was especially helpful. He showed me the rooms, explained the $15 standard and $10 budget options, and was friendly throughout.
