I stayed at Hotel Inca Real for about two weeks and got to try two different rooms. One evening I felt cold, and they brought me a floor heater, which I really appreciated. The showers were hot too, something you don't find everywhere in Ecuador. The staff were amazing, the café food was yummy, and the free breakfast each day was really filling. I'd stay again.

The food was fine, but the rooms are expensive. The shower is tiny, the closet is scary, and the TV is confusing to use with a broken controller. There's explicit adult content on the children's channel. The equipment feels cheap and low quality, and the bathroom doorknob is broken and barely works.

We could walk to plenty of sights and restaurants from this lovely, charming hotel. The staff were friendly and happy to help, and it made a great base for staying in Cuenca.

I love the old, antique feel, and the courtyards let in lots of daylight and fresh air. The rooms were clean, the bathroom had been updated, and reception was really friendly and helpful. They speak good English too. It can be noisy, but the place is over 200 years old, after all.

We only had half a day here before catching a bus to Quito, and I wish we could have stayed longer. The beautiful building and helpful staff made a good impression. They made copies for us and answered all our questions. Lunch was $10 per person and came with soup, an entree, dessert, and juice. It was excellent. With the virus going around, we were mostly stuck inside, but it was all good.
