Hotel San Antonio

The wooden floors meant the bed moved whenever someone walked along the hallway. We had to switch rooms because the tap had no water and the light bulb was broken, though the second room was better. We paid $160 for two nights and got about seven hours of sleep in all. On the second night, the hotel was rented for a birthday party that felt like a nightclub. Loud music and noise went on until 3:00 AM, making sleep impossible. Then at 6:00 AM, staff started cleaning the breakfast room, shouting and disregarding guests who needed rest. The next morning we complained about the incredible mess. The manager just said she was sorry and couldn’t do anything, then left while we were making our complaint, very politely. We’ve never seen such rudeness. She was completely unprofessional and sent employees to speak for her. We were outraged, exhausted, and disgusted by the disrespect toward customers. The worst hotel treatment I’ve ever had. We’ll never return, and we advise people not to stay somewhere customers are treated with such disrespect. Shame!

The colonial feel makes it clear you’re in Cuenca. It’s a peaceful place to rest, with excellent service.

The staff are friendly and the service is good. Breakfast, parking, and Wi-Fi are included. It’s five minutes from downtown, and the rooms are clean, comfortable, and large.
