We were just a short walk from the cable cars and downtown, so the location worked perfectly. The staff were lovely, always smiling, greeting us, and ready to help. Everything was spotless and modern, and the water views were breathtaking. Waking up there felt like being on top of the world, in a cloud.

The staff were polite and helpful, and the rooms felt modern, clean, and comfortable. We could hear the couple in room 10/06 through the window frame in our room, 10/07, though we didn’t hear anything from the room on the other side. The restaurant was okay, but it was missing a lot of the things we wanted.

We were worried about stopping over in Guayaquil, but River Garden turned out to be a real relief. The room was spotless and had all the amenities we needed. Dinner at the rooftop restaurant was outstanding, with breathtaking views. We got some much-needed rest and peace of mind, thank you 🙏

The rooftop restaurant served really good, high-quality food, and the service was attentive. The bar has an amazing view and the staff were very kind. I’m taking off a star because beer came only in plastic glasses, not glass.

The property is lovely and in a great location, but our stay was deeply uncomfortable. We were a tour group of people in our 50s to 70s, yet staff treated us as if we were college kids on spring break. They watched our every move on video, and a senior staff member kept patrolling past us and glaring every few minutes. We weren’t loud, obnoxious, or causing trouble. We were there to spend money, but eventually took it elsewhere. Staff were rude and kept inventing arbitrary rules to hassle us. The whole experience felt unnerving, as if they were going out of their way to make us uncomfortable. I’ve never experienced anything like it, and I was glad when we finally checked out. I would never stay here again.
