The Park Hotel

The location is great, near iguana park, the tour bus, Chinese food stores, lots of fabric shops, and more. The staff are lovely, and I appreciated having a mini fridge, water, a toothbrush, and slippers. My single room is small but very functional, and everything is clean. I guess the renovations were done recently, and they look very nice. Some streaming channels would make it even better, though I mostly watch YouTube. I'm happy to be here.

The staff were extremely kind and helpful, and went above and beyond to make me comfortable on my first visit to Ecuador. I was in Guayaquiş for business for 3 nights. The hotel is right downtown, next to the Iguana park and very close to Malecon 2000. My room was clean and had good air conditioning. I'd definitely recommend it.

We felt safe throughout our trip, and the hotel staff were always there to let us in when the front doors were locked at certain hours. They were friendly and helpful, arranged airport pickup and drop-off by taxi with payment directly to the hotel, and gave us recommendations and advice on evening walking routes. It may be worth checking Uber prices, since it can be cheaper. We spent 3 nights at The Park Hotel over Easter weekend. Parque seminario is right across the street, with its iguanas and the tourist double-decker bus departure point, and the Malecón 2000 is an easy walk away. Restaurants and street food are easy to reach too. From there it's also easy to take a taxi or Uber to other parts of Guayaquil, like Parque Historico. Knowing some Spanish would help, though a translation app can do the job. The room was simple and clean, with good A/C and a comfortable bed. The shower didn't seem to have hot water, but after being out in the Guayaquil heat, a cool shower was welcome. It could get loud at times from Parque seminario across the street, especially during the Easter celebrations, but it didn't bother us. We'd definitely recommend the hotel.

The price, breakfast, room, location, and staff were all great. Everything about this hotel worked for us.
