We spent a week at La Mariposa and really enjoyed it. The staff were so friendly and ready to help with anything. Our room was clean and had what we needed, and there was a roomy garden with comfortable hammocks. The beach is just a block away, so it was easy to unwind by the sea. We'd happily return to Olon if we get the chance.

Breakfasts were generous, with good coffee, and the internet was fast. After a day at the beach, it was lovely to return to a spotless room, with daily room service. This charming, well-run hostal is a block from the beach, and the service was excellent. We highly recommend it and will be back.

The owner couple were honest, very kind, and helpful. I had planned to stay five nights, but they let me know ahead of time about a big party near the hotel on Saturday. That gave me time to move somewhere else three days later, and I appreciated their sincere consideration. The hotel is very clean and close to the beach, with good restaurants nearby.

The owners were lovely and went out of their way to let us park our bikes in the courtyard, which worked out great. We had a nice room with a sea view, a private bathroom, and really hot showers. Breakfast was excellent and served until 10:30, handy if you want to sleep in. It's a beautiful, very clean place in Olon, close to the beach and everything else. Highly recommended.

Everyone made us feel welcome and was genuinely keen to communicate. They speak decent English, too. The hotel is a very short walk from the beach, and the breakfasts are really good and inexpensive. It's a lovely, relaxing place in a great location. I'd recommend La Mariposa Hostal and would like to come back.
