Alberto and Susana, his sister, were lovely and very helpful, and the shower got properly hot, always a plus. The Ayullwasi feels like a peaceful little haven. It’s about 350m from the bus station and not far from the Plaza de los Ponchos. My room was the best I’ve had so far in Ecuador, huge, beautifully furnished, with 2 Queen beds. I’d come back if I’m passing through Otavalo again. Gracias Alberto!!
Alberto is so accommodating and knows his stuff. The kitchen areas have everything you need, the beds are comfortable, and the showers are great. It’s also just a short walk from the bus station. Highly recommend!
The owner is friendly and really knowledgeable, and the rooms are comfortable with lovely decor and thoughtful details. It’s a quiet oasis right in central Otavalo, only minutes from the Plaza de Ponchos. There’s a nice little patio too, with a covered outdoor kitchen, tables, and a sofa. Highly recommended.
Really good value, and it’s hard to rate the experience below 10/10. The host was so kind and genuinely tried to help. I mentioned wanting to buy hats, and after I arrived at the hotel he took me to a good shop that made them. He even found a box afterward so I could take them on the plane!
Alberto was very helpful, and we really enjoyed our stay. The rooms are large and clean, and the kitchen and shared space are great. The location is great too.
