Costa del Sol Guest House

I spent 30 days here while waiting for my house to be built. The hotel is near the ocean, has a shared place to cook your own food, and is very reasonably priced. The owner speaks native Spanish and is fluent in English. Service was great, and they responded quickly when I needed something.

For six nights on my own, I had a comfortable double bed, an en-suite bathroom, and AC. It was quiet despite being so close to the busy tourist area, and the price felt like great value for the amenities and location. Costa del Sol was a perfect alternative to sharing a hostel room. It's just off the main avenue in Puerto Ayora, so getting to restaurants, shops, and local sights on foot was easy. I could also walk to and from the bus drop-off and pick-up, and to the pier for water taxis. There's a shared kitchen if you want to cook, and a rooftop hangout with hammocks. The AC worked great, the Wi-Fi was acceptable, and the staff were friendly. We stayed three nights and would recommend it. We paid 20/per person for a ground floor room and 25/per person for 2nd floor. Drinking water is available on the 2nd floor, and the covered rooftop has a lovely view, with plenty of hammocks, chairs, and laundry lines. The location is great, right by good cafes and food and just a stone's throw from the port. I only wish they'd had more toiletries, like body wash, though at that price I can't really complain.

The location is so convenient, right by the ferry station for trips to other Galapagos islands and in the middle of the restaurants and shops. We got a clean room with comfortable beds and pillows, AC, an en-suite bathroom, and working Wi-Fi. There's also a small kitchen area for eating or hanging out. Great value and highly recommended. #HappyCustomer
