The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the bathrooms and showers were very clean too, with dependable hot water. The air conditioning worked really well. Staff were kind, friendly, and always helpful, and the location is convenient and close to everything in the city. I had a really great stay and would definitely recommend this hostel.

We were very happy with our stay. The rate was reasonable, breakfast was included and nice, and the staff were helpful. The common areas and our room were clean, and they cleaned the room and made the bed every day. A couple of useful additions would be hangers for clothes and hooks for towels in the bathroom.

This is an inexpensive place for backpackers and people on a budget. The rooms were clean and acceptable, and the staff work hard to serve a good breakfast. The main part of the building looks very nice, though you may want to ask whether your room is there or tucked away in the less photogenic back area. I’d recommend it for budget travelers, but not for anyone expecting luxury. Some basics are missing: there are no towel hooks, no hangers for the mini closet’s bar, and no toilet paper holder. The dirty toilet paper waste pail had no lid, which made that an unacceptable experience. If you read bad reviews, keep in mind that you get what you pay for.

The quiet location suited me, and it’s near bakeries, a coffee shop, and a pharmacy. The hotel is quiet and has a good air-conditioned unit. The Hostal serves a decent breakfast with freshly cooked eggs, though I’d strongly suggest extending breakfast hours, perhaps to 7-9am. I’m a travel agent in Australia and try to be fair in my reviews. I have no issue with a 10am checkout, since that’s the checkout time at most hotels. I’d recommend this Hostal.

The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are clean, and the staff are nice. Breakfast is very simple.
