Hotel Volcano

The room was roomy and the AC worked excellently. Sophia at reception was so friendly and helpful, she made us feel very welcome!

Paola made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, and she helped make our three-night stay on Isabela even better. She called Christian and arranged a couple-hour tour of the highlands. He grew up there and knew just about everything we could think to ask. Paola also pointed us to a local Mexican restaurant with amazing food and an excursion place that took us snorkeling with sharks. The beach is across the street, the rooms were clean, and breakfast was fresh and delicious. We were more than pleased with our stay. It’s a perfect place to stay on Isabela, and Paola was an absolute sweetheart.

Our room was bright and clean, with a wonderful ocean view, and the staff were friendly and very accommodating. The hotel is right across from the beach, with plenty of restaurants and shops just a few minutes’ walk away. There’s also a flamingo pond behind the hotel. We spent two nights at the Volcano Hotel.

Kirby at the front desk was wonderful and really understanding about what we’d been through at Drake Inn. She was only volunteering there, but went out of her way to help, getting us checked in quickly and emailing agencies about our travel questions. She was happy to answer everything else we asked, too. The rest of the staff were just as helpful. Since we arrived in the afternoon, the only room available hadn’t been cleaned after a late checkout, and the cleaning lady had already gone home. The staff called her, and she biked all the way back to the hotel in not even 10 minutes and got the room ready right away. The place is beautiful, and the rooms are nice, clean, and clearly well cared for. After the terrible stay at Drake Inn, this was such a relief and saved the rest of our vacation. The price at Volcano Hotel was actually lower, too. I can’t say enough good things about it.
