The food was a real highlight, both at the in-house restaurant, which had a big menu and amazing dishes at wonderful prices, and at breakfast, where there was plenty to choose from. The fruit and cold options were especially good. Getting out to explore was easy thanks to the great part of town, with a huge shopping centre and a very large park just across the road. The staff were friendly throughout, and the bell-hop handling our bags was especially on top of things. There’s plenty of glamour in the hotel, and the suites and rooms are spacious. Ours had two large, comfortable beds, huge windows, a desk, sofa, coffee machine and fridge. The bathroom was a decent size, with a lovely shower and products to use. There was also an air conditioner, a ceiling fan, and a plug-in heather in the very large wardrobe. We could watch the Super Bowl on Spanish ESPN on the TV. The floor had some scratches from beds being moved, and the sofas seem a bit old and could use an update. It didn’t take away from the five stars for me.

La Quinta by Wyndham Quito has a spacious lobby and a really good breakfast buffet with lots of choices. Our room had a separate bedroom and living room, and was large enough to make the stay more enjoyable. The style is classic and a little old-fashioned, but the hotel is comfortable. We had a very good experience and I’d recommend it.

The breakfast spread was amazing, and you can take your time over more than 2 hours. The hotel bar has decent food and cocktails. It got pretty cold overnight even with the heater on, so bring warm pyjamas. This fancy hotel made a great starting point for exploring Quito on foot and by public transport. Santiago greeted me warmly when I arrived and showed me how to use everything in my room. At reception, Sharon helped me feel safe by explaining how to reach the nearest metro station and reminding me to stay alert in the street.

The employees were so kind and the customer service was top notch. Lovely rooms and hotel, with a delicious breakfast. The gym and sauna were great amenities too.

We enjoyed our stay so much that we’re coming back in 2 days. The location was superb, and our room and the hotel were wonderful, clean, and accommodating. Breakfast had loads of choice, and the gym was good too. Thanks to everyone at the hotel for making our time there special x
