I was booked here as part of an organized trip, but I couldn't have picked a better hotel myself. It's a beautiful building with quirky, classic decor, and it doesn't feel like another soulless chain. The rooms and bathrooms are a good size, and I really enjoyed the breakfast. Staff were genuinely friendly and offered help whenever I needed it. After traveling around the world, I haven't met people who felt so kind and natural in their hospitality. There are plenty of nice cafes and restaurants an easy walk away, along with a supermarket and a very interesting museum of Indigenous art.

It's been 17 years since I last stayed here, and it was top-notch then and still is now. A peaceful stay in a bustling big city, with an elegant, small hotel, exceptional staff, and a complimentary breakfast that was more complete than I expected.

The staff, especially at the front desk, were friendly and very helpful, and breakfast was good. The hotel is also in a handy location, about 10 minutes from plaza Foch. When I had trouble with the inconsistent hot water, they dealt with it straight away. I wasn't fully satisfied with the room's cleanliness. The ledges beside the bed were stained. The sheets were clean, but the blanket seemed like it needed airing out. There were a few cafes and restaurants nearby, though the area seemed to empty out quickly in the evening. Since I was alone, I tried to return to the hotel early at night.

The hotel sits off a main road, so it gets noisy. Earplugs help, but that's why I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5. Inside, the gorgeous old building is well kept and the rooms are nice. Breakfast is basic, with fruit, bread, and coffee. I especially liked the fresh water filling station, quick WiFi, and hotel bar. I'd stay here again.
