The rooms were clean, breakfast was top-tier, and the staff were extremely helpful. They arranged transport for us as we headed out each day, which made the stay especially enjoyable. This was the best Holiday Inn we’ve stayed in. During Christmas Break, we spent several days exploring Ecuador with José from Canelos Transport. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and easygoing, and made the long sightseeing days fun. On December 20, 2025, José took us to Pululahua Volcano and crater community, the Templo del Sol Museum, Museo Intiñan, and the Mitad del Mundo Monument at the equator. We also rode the TelefériQo cable car for incredible views of Quito, had lunch at the restaurant at Cruz Loma, and visited the Basilica del Voto Nacional. It was a full day, but everything went smoothly and we never felt rushed, even though we were tired. José had another commitment on December 21, but made sure we were looked after by arranging for his father to take us for the day and connecting us with a guide at Cotapaxi National Park. We climbed Volcán Cotapaxi to Refugio José Rivas, the base camp, and had lunch there. On the way out, we stopped at Laguna de Limpiopungo. The arrangements were seamless, and we felt comfortable the whole time. The next day, José took us to Volcán Chimborazo, where we climbed to Whymper Base Camp. On our way back to Quito, we stopped for a late lunch at Mirador de los Volcanes Cotapaxi. I tried guinea pig, to my son’s horror, since he used to keep them as pets. That was definitely memorable. José with Canelos Transport was reliable, flexible, and clearly cared about giving us a wonderful experience. We saw a lot and learned a lot in just a few days. Our family highly recommends José for a fun, well-organized, stress-free way to explore Ecuador.

A great place to stay before or after a flight. Google Maps and Uber couldn’t find the right address for us. We finally used the hotel restaurant as the destination in Uber, which got us back from town for much less than a taxi. Great facilities and staff!

This is the best Holiday Inn I’ve stayed in, and I couldn’t find a single downside. It’s modern and stylish, and I was seriously impressed by everything, including the staff. The rooms are roomy and bright, with floor-to-ceiling windows, comfortable beds, walk-in showers, and huge bathroom mirrors. They even provide both firm pillows and slim, soft ones, labeled on the pillowcases. Such a thoughtful touch. The buffet offers lots of high-quality food and drinks, and a chef will cook eggs the way you like. Prices are very reasonable. There’s also a pool and bar, and they had a BBQ grill going the day we were there. The steam room fits quite a few people, and there’s a small gym. It’s very close to the airport, so it’s a good option before or after a long flight. Reception also has a dedicated monitor showing flight times.

We felt very welcome thanks to the friendly, helpful staff. The room was spacious and quiet, with everything we wanted. Breakfast had a huge selection, and we also enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi.
