Tallinn Viimsi SPA

Parking was a mess from the start. We spent 15 minutes circling for a space, then gave up and used a private car park elsewhere. It cost €5 for 3-4 hours, thankfully not much. We went to the 18+ spa, which has its own entrance and area. My girlfriend was told there were no women's lockers, and that she should go to the regular spa entrance, explain the situation, and try to get in from there. They also had no robe or towel for her. If space is that limited, they should at least put a notice on the website or at the counter saying it's full. I got into the men's changing room, but the whole thing felt strange when we'd paid extra to be away from children and families. The 18+ area was disappointing for the price: basic pools and six saunas. Fine, perhaps there's no room for more, but the food and drinks didn't help. My piña colada was warm; my girlfriend's drink was okay but nothing special. We skipped the food because the prices seemed far too high for the low quality, more like restaurant or pub prices without the quality. Most things come in takeaway boxes. If you want a meal, Black Rose Pub is in the same building, with connected lobbies. At the spa bar, drinks come in plastic cups and even the tables and chairs are plastic. The prices and overall experience felt absurd. We tried the regular spa too, and it was chaotic. A hot tub was overflowing with foam, and people were throwing it onto the walkways. It was so packed that they shouldn't have let more people in. ElamusSPA's 18+ area has roughly two or three times as many saunas, cheaper food and drinks, better quality dishes and cups, more room, a nicer atmosphere, and, amusingly, better parking. In short, I'd skip the 18+ area. Only go to the regular spa if it's quiet.

The deluxe plus modern room had been freshly renovated and was clean. I missed a few basics, though: a kettle, air conditioning, more toiletries, and larger blankets. The spa is clean and modern, with enough saunas to satisfy even serious sauna fans. The Finnish sauna was properly hot, and the 18+ area had a pleasant feel and nice design. It's best to visit when it's not too crowded. A solid four-star stay.

In January 2026, I wanted a few hours in the 18+ area with my spouse, without the kids. I didn't stay at the hotel. The spa gets 4/5, the food 3/5: it was served in plastic, with no healthy food choices and no healthy drinks apart from water and smoothies. Service was 3.5/5, with an old-school, cheap, small-minded attitude. It's an option instead of Elamus Spa 21 if you want somewhere less crowded, but definitely eat elsewhere.

The hotel looks lovely from outside, but the service really disappointed me. Our room was dirty and hadn't been cleaned, and there was no shampoo or conditioner. They didn't provide slippers either, and the ones you have to buy are very expensive. The service was poor, and I didn't enjoy the stay at all. First visit, last visit.
