The beach worth swimming at is about a 15-minute drive away. The stretch of sea near the hostel isn't suitable for swimming, though it’s nice to be by the water. I liked the place for a break, with plenty of room, good rooms, a kitchen, sauna, and a big yard.

A handy Eurovelo stop, and even more worth the detour when it’s raining. There’s a dry spot to leave your bike, plus a nice kitchen and lounge inside. The rooms are nice too.

It gets a little chilly at night, and you can hear people talking in the kitchen. Still, I found it a very nice place: the owners are friendly, everything was clean, and there’s lots of space inside and out. With no other houses nearby, it’s very quiet.

I stayed for a day during an event when the whole place was booked, and slept in a tent rather than indoors. There was no running water outside, so I had to go into the main building for basic hygiene. The camping area has a basic outhouse. The small sauna in the main building was nice, but breakfast was nothing special, just sandwich ingredients and porridge. The hostel used to be a Soviet cow barn, and I’m not sure whether it’s open regularly.
