Liivarand Hotel

The beachside location was quiet, the staff spoke English, and it was cheap. Still, I wouldn’t stay here again. Our room was hot and uncomfortable because the AC didn’t work, and both the room and hotel felt run down. Breakfast was very poor, with food that was barely edible. At the restaurant, only the pizza was good; everything else we tried was bad and expensive, so it felt like a waste of money. The tap water smelled awful, like iron. Maybe it was due to old pipes from communist times.

The man at reception was very rude and unprofessional. Instead of finding out what the problem was or trying to help, he made personal comments based on his own wild interests. I’ve never had this happen at a hotel before.

The breakfast and restaurant food were both nice, and I had a great three-day stay. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the beach really is just a two-minute walk away. You can use the spa services and pool at a nearby partner property. Summer mosquitoes are the only downside, but that’s just part of the Baltics. I’d only open the window briefly in the morning, then shut it.

A lovely spot to get away for some peace and relaxation. The price is excellent for what you get, and we highly recommend it.
