This is the only place to stay in Paldiski, and it’s basic but comfortable. I’d have given it five stars if the owner hadn’t put guests right next to me for the last two nights in an otherwise empty hotel. They talked loudly until 3 in the morning. I politely asked them to be quiet, but they just laughed.
I’ve stayed here more than three times in the last year, and there were webs in the room every time. It’s just okay. With no breakfast, I’d expect at least a small fridge in the room.
The place feels unhealthy, with poor cleaning, old furniture, lots of mosquitoes, and a stale old-mansion smell. Nothing good to expect.
The city’s only good place to stay.
The location is central and quiet, with a shop almost next door. The room and sheets were clean, and having a small fridge, a kettle with coffee and tea bags, and a microwave in the hallway was handy. We were also allowed to bring our bikes into the hallway overnight, which was appreciated. There’s a big terrace, but it’s being renovated right now. Finding the hotel was tricky because there were no signs. The beds looked dirty and very worn, and the mattresses were too long for the small beds. Mine had a hole in the middle. The shower was clean, though the water could be cold in the evening. At least it was hot in the morning, and the room itself was really hot. The other guests seemed to be commuters when we stayed. Two trucks left the parking lot at six, for example, making quite an alarm clock.
