After the hotel where we had booked a room left our family and dog out on the street in the middle of the night, Laine Guesthouse took us in without a reservation. It was past midnight, so I accepted the basic twin room they had available. I’m sure the property has much nicer rooms too. The breakfast was good, and the place was probably the cleanest accommodation I’ve ever stayed in. It’s in a good spot, next to a shopping center and about 15-20 minutes from the beach.

The rooms weren’t very clean, and there were silverfish in the bathroom. The administrator seemed unaware of what was happening in the house. At 8:30 the janitor came in and worked loudly, banging the broom against every wall and moving things around in the rooms. There’s absolutely no ventilation, so you have to sleep with the window open, and it can get really noisy outside. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. There are much better places for the price.

The bathroom had a cockroach, though the room itself was clean and newly renovated. The walls could probably do a better job of blocking sound. Otherwise, it’s a nice place.

Good value for the price, with a decent breakfast and enough parking. Finding the entrance wasn’t ideal since the property doors are in the yard.

The location is really good, and there’s free parking in front. The staff are very friendly, while the cozy rooms show their age.
