Strangers in the Night

The staff were super nice and helpful, and made us feel really welcome. The shower stayed hot every time and was probably the best one I’ve had on this trip. There were outlets by the bed and blackout curtains, both essential during Estonia’s long summer days. But the room was just bad. It looked like it hadn’t had a proper clean in months: cobwebs in every nook and on the window, dirt and dust across the floor. The shared toilet was the same, and the first floor in general was dirty and cluttered. The basement common room and kitchen had no ventilation, so it constantly smelled wet, damp, and moldy. Sitting down there for any length of time was horrid, and the sink area smelled even worse because nothing dried properly. Don’t even try doing laundry. I’m grateful for the bed, but I can’t recommend staying in the dorm for more than one night. I’ve stayed in cleaner, nicer hostels elsewhere for the same price.
