Viiking Spa Hotel

The sauna area has a fun layout, almost like wandering or floating through a cave. There are saunas, showers, or tubs tucked behind the wall pillars, with a pool in the middle. I liked warming up in the hot wet sauna and then cooling off in the snow sauna. The salt and aromatherapy rooms were lovely too. We didn’t stay at the hotel, just spent time at the spa, and it worked well for both adults and children. The pool was enjoyable for swimming, jets, and the overhead waterfall features, and the kids had a great time. There’s a little bar where we got tasty milkshakes between exploring. The changing and locker area was roomy and clean, as were the showers. Parking is plentiful, and it’s conveniently placed for other sites in Pärnu. We had a really relaxing evening.

The buffet food was delicious, especially the tender meat and duck. Breakfast is included for all guests, while lunch and dinner are buffet style for those entitled to them. The lobby bar is the main alternative. I was able to add dinner buffet access at reception and pay at checkout. There’s also a small library. The spa has a medium-sized pool with a streaming river section, a bar, and lots of different saunas. The rooms are clean and come with a TV, small fridge, towels, and bathrobes. There’s a vending machine for water and basic snacks too. The spa layout feels like a labyrinth, and it seemed odd that men and women use the same changing room, even though there are cabins. The air in the spa was too cold, and I think that’s why I caught a cold during my stay.

We liked our stay here. The location is really good, breakfast was good, and the price felt fair for what we got. The bathrooms could probably do with renovation, and customer service could be friendlier.

Viiking Saaga at Viiking Spa Hotel has warm water and saunas, and it was very clean with excellent service. The snow sauna is something you should try. For me, it’s the best spa in Estonia!
