We borrowed bikes to explore the area, and took one of the boats out on the river. That was an amazing experience. The hosts were welcoming and friendly, and we chatted with them a lot. They also had lovely hiking trail suggestions, which made the place feel so homely. I’d love to come back. We stayed one night in the log house by the river. It’s beautifully decorated, with wonderful living spaces and three beds, two of them up in the loft. There’s no toilet or washroom in the house, so you need access to another room or the shared toilets in the neighboring house. There’s a well-equipped shared kitchen, and they have everything needed for a barbecue or a bonfire. Depending on the day, there may also be a shared sauna, and you can rent a jacuzzi.
