There's a lovely garden at the back of this old manor, once owned by one of the many German aristocrats who ruled Estonia for centuries until the 1920s. Upstairs, there's a huge and interesting chimney and cooking area. The rest of the interior isn't especially remarkable beside other castles, though. Entry costs 5 euros for adults.

I loved the main building most. Its rooms and interesting furniture have an archival, untouched feel, as if you'd gone back a couple of centuries. It doesn't feel newly renovated or modern like some old manors, which makes it feel authentic. We stayed one night in a superior room on the first floor, with a balcony and bath. It was spacious, comfortable, and had all the facilities. The hotel rooms are in a separate building, not the manor itself, and though they aren't as nostalgic, ours looked good and was fine. Dinner was good, although I expected a little more; breakfast was lovely, with lots of buffet choices. The place has so much history. We also visited the forest museum, where activities included a cinema, taxidermy, and different tasks to test what you know about Estonian forest life. You could easily spend a couple of hours there. For the full experience, I'd recommend staying the night if you can, and visiting both the nature museum and the main building is a must 🙂

I didn't visit the forest museum, so I can't really comment on it. The manor complex is one of the best maintained in Northern Estonia, with a lovely park and a beautiful garden that also has an educational side.

Inside the national park, the site includes a museum, hotel, and restaurant. Our room was spacious and clean, but the smell was uncomfortable. The building and courtyard are beautiful.

A lovely manor with a floral garden, a couple of museums, and a restaurant on site serving delicious food. There are also nice walks around the lake and grounds.
